After learning Oakwood's existing processes as well as the long-term objectives for the company's IT department, a series of improvements were proposed and implemented during the course of the project. The .Net and SQL Server based application needed to support a variety of stakeholders as well as integrations with Siebel, 2 legacy systems, and the original version of the web applications. With an emphasis on project management best practices, the Rational Unified Process and iterative development approaches, Sagewing trained Oakwood staff as the project quality and communications steadily improved - ultimately leading to an on-time, on-budget launch.
